Wet morning, Model 7 time.

Rain this morning and couldn't do what I had intended to do. I had set corner post yesterday and needed to install the brace for the new fence.

So instead I grabbed my Remington Model 7 in 7mm08 and a 50 round box of Speer 145gr BTSP over a load of IMR 4831. Went back to my behind the barn deer blind climbed up and shot stumps on the edge of the pond. Stayed dry and spent some ammo I have no intention of hunting with.
Decided to just do the half box and quit.
Came back to the house, sat down to punch spent primers out of a bunch of 308, 7mm08 and 243. those along with some 220 Swift I had already punched primers out of went in my tumbler which is now running.






Got to clean the primer pockets out but better than what I first tried.

Just plain old cheapest white rice you can find in a 25 pound bag. Stuff last for years.

Using just rice, how long does it take in the rotary tumbler to clean the brass?

I threw 328 pieces in there and it was squeeky clean in 2.5 hours.
Probably do it quicker in a ultra sonic cleaner.
