I think those marks are from the jaws of the vise he had it clamped in. A little too tightly.
Or mayhaps someone can lock ValleyFirewood up in a Mental Health Facility........ For the good of the community.Agreed, what a waste.
Maybe the jug can be salvaged by forming epoxy webs back into the ports.
*pretty boy never answered my inquiries about the saw........and a year later this butchered cylinder was in the lot of jugs that he sent Clint. I'm thinking that he junked the saw and this cylinder is all that remains. What a shame. There was a treasure trove of NLA parts (including a full wrap handlebar). Jackass.......
If they were his parts then he was free to do with them whatever he liked...he's not free to rip anyone off but the man can't be slammed for doing what he wished with his own property.
I had a guy come by the shop at night once with a pristine Danarm "Hi-Baller." He knew I wanted it as I was buying old two-man saws as fast as I could at the time. I knew the guy- he was local and known to have a prolific drug habit. He wanted $500 cash for it and it was worth every bit of double that (it had a 72" bar, original helper handle, and 3/4" pitch square-chisel chain). I couldn't get the cash that night because my place was a long way from any bank. He said "If you don't got the cash, then you don't got the saw" and left. The next morning he sold it at the scrapyard for $150 and they crushed it into scrap.
JJ,
He may have every right to do with parts as he wishes, but he should still be informed of his propensity for being a jackwagon.
Where can a guy get one of dem waffle hammers ????
Gone looking .......lolNext to the Pancake compressors.......
