What everyone's opinions on the premixed VP 40:1? Is it any good?

I’ve used it along with Tru-fuel 40:1. I did not notice any difference. I heard that vp used some sort of motul oil (?). Nice and easy if you can’t get non - e.

It’s pricey though. That’s a big deterrent.

I use the VP 40:1 in all my 2 stroke equipment. I get true gallons (128 oz vs 110 oz for TruFuel) at Tractor Supply for $19.99

The local Rural king has it for 3.99 a quart. It's right beside the husky premix for 7.99 a quart. I bought a quart of the VP just for the heck of it.

That’s a great price actually. I don’t think that the Husqvarna brand is available in 40:1

I’ve used a couple gallons of the vp 40-1 and so far so good. Smells good to. I tor down one of my saws to (woods port it) and everything was coated nicely in oil after running vp for a few tanks

Walmart had the generic SEF on sale for $9 a gallon last week. Mix your own oil and go.

Ok so what is SEF? It was 1.99 a quart Rural King but I was not sure what it was.

Before I started hanging out with all the reprobates I mean, fine folks here, the first fuel through a new baby Husky (135) was VP 40:1. I don't really run it enough yet to bother with mixing fuel (just thinning my tiny little Christmas tree farm) but this year I'll be cutting firewood again (and picking up another saw, probably a 562, but you never know, could be a 550, 555, or 572) but one of the few things that Walt said that didn't go completely over my head was to run your premix a little more rich.

I have run 4-5 quarts VP 40:1.
I also have seen and bought the sale price cans at Rural king.
It seems the same as other can gas and I like the smell too.
