A week or so ago, I was actually wondering if the BLK sold.

Unfortunately, I just spend too much on a guitar that I'm giving to my boy when he graduates this year.

What kind of guitar?

For the 150th anniversary of Epihone (in 2023) Gibson reissued the Zephyr Regent Deluxe (1948-1957):

If that BLK is still around in a few months, I'll screw up the courage to ask what the selling price is.

Very cool! Looks like an emperor regent with dual pickups

Nice old saw, really hard to believe they built these at the same time they made a contra/lightning. Suppose that may add to the rarity because if I had to choose this or a contra in the late 50’s I know what I’d be buying to use every day. What is of interest to you for trades? Everyone’s thoughts are different so just curious
It is debatable when the last of the BLK series saws were built. Mike's site has them in production up until 1973.

At that time Stihl was building much more modern saws such as the 050. Heck the 041 was around then also.

If you really want to see a odd saw look at the BL.

I have one of those also.

Most likely…and 4 others in one of his saw barns, lol
Only 3 total BLK saws now. The 4th was a parts saw and went to Canada many years ago. The man drove 2500 miles round trip to get it..........Of course his truck was full when he left.😀

He had a little vintage Volkswagen truck. It was one of the ones that was basically a VW Rabbit. It was diesel and he made his own "home brew" fuel. He carried extra fuel with him in 5 gallon oil buckets. The truck has a topper on it and when we got done loading the saws he did not have room for his empty fuel buckets so he left them here.
