Every so often my Dad mentions the possibility of going to D.C. to see the Wall.
He asked that if he was ever "ready" to go if I would go with him, of course the answer is yes.
Not sure if we will ever go, but it's entirely up to him.

Haul him there Ed.

If your dad was a veteran, check into an honor flight.
I was fortunate enough to accompany my dad on his a couple of years ago. It was a full day and we had a great time.
I highly recommend it.

Funny thing, my Dad flew to Vietnam.
Got hauled all over the northern highlands by helicopter, and flew home.
Then on my parents honeymoon, had a blood vessel burst in his head while on Pikes Peak, so no flying for my Dad anymore..
We would take the bikes anyway.

He needs to go, really.

I went with my daughter’s eighth grade trip ((she is 42 now) and at the tail end of the DC tour we stopped at the wall.

Bless father Lac Pham’s heart! He made us some time for it.

I was able to look up my five rifle squad mates.

Worth the effort to go see. But word of advice.... make sure you are calm cool and collected while you are there. I almost left in a squad car. Bunch of disrespectful azzwipes the day we were there. Was everything my wife could do to keep me from hurting someone. It's a emotional place for sure.

I was really hoping to go with my dad but he does not want to go a reminder those times in his life.
