Saw is SN 131 067 xxx. Built late 1994 or early 1995. It's a short case saw, metal flywheel, no decomp, and has a 3/4 wrap handle. Has the dual port Magnum muffler and was originally a metal tag saw. Comes with an NOS top with plastic tag, an NOS metal tag (in case you want to install), the original metal tag top (serviceable, but just not pretty).

Saw is in great shape; no stripped threads, not missing any parts, has all original hardware.

Saw was rebuilt maybe 2 years ago - NOS piston, new fuel lines, rebuilt carb. I've run it once since then for about an hour; this was on a job that my 044 could have handled. Just tired of it collecting dust.

I just finished painting the fan cover with top quality tractor and implement paint (not affected by fuel or oil) in the correct color (Ford gray). Yes, I disassembled it first. Also has an elastostart handle and new rope.

I repainted the front of the muffler; it had a lot of sap on it and when brushing it off, I took off some paint.

Runs, cuts, and oils great. Sprocket is set up for 3/8 chain, has 8 pin rim drive.

I ran a 28" bar on it; it will handle a longer bar, but I never tried it. I have bigger saws (076, 111S, 090, etc) for when I need a 3' or longer bar.

Comes with a few spare parts - top covers, an NOS Stihl sprocket with 3/8 8 pin rim drive, used OEM piston etc.

The clutch cover is missing the chip guard at the back and it has a crack. That's about all of the issues that it has.

It's $800 + shipping from San Antonio, TX, 78248. This is powerhead only (PHO) - no bar/chain included.

Actually the recoils are different and this gap is incorrect. The 066 recoil for the flat tops flares out and covers this.

Ok, anyone have a part number for the correct recoil housing? I have a few IPLs, but they all list the later style. Also, it the 064 the same? thanks

From my knowledge the recoil is right for the 066, the top cover isn’t. You could put a 064 recoil on there but you would need a flywheel that matches your coil for 064 to get it all to work right. Lots of work for little gain. Basically would be making your 066 into a 064 with a 066 top end... better off finding a minty 066 flat top cover and have it all original. I have this one with a crack in it or a nicer one that needs polished if interested.

Ok, I checked and you nailed it. The 064 cover fits, but it's slightly different.

I have a good metal tag 066 top cover that I wet sanded and it looks ok, but can you pm me pics of your nicer one?

Thanks

I can search for them or go to the shop and check it out tonight. Not knocking your restoration at all. Looks good, but guys will nit pick the littlest of things. Honestly I was tempted to buy it just to put my nice top on and sell for a little more lol.

Thanks, Frankavich. Please let me know on the tops.

Also, I don't think I would call this a restoration; it's just rebuilt and cleaned up with a bit of repainting.

The one from Brazil is the old style cover. It'll have a gap either way with an 064 cover because all 066/660's have a wider flywheel.
