I have the cylinder done and ready for reassembly.

The casting was a little rough on it. 20190329_162901.jpg 20190329_162838.jpg

All cleaned up. 20190329_204949.jpg

I also polished the transfer dividers to prevent the plating from peeling off like the original. I looked at another used pm700 cylinder the other day and it also had that same problem with the chrome chipping away at the transfer. 20190329_204715.jpg 20190329_204755.jpg

What’s going on now is great. I understand fully things like this project takes time. I know they’re crazy strong saws...and I’ve heard and read as well, Jim, is the man to go to. And ported, tricked out...Jim is the one to do them! I’m looking forward to this gentlemen.

More parts to swap out! Now it's the darn coil. I thought I had an extra but I do not. There isn't much left on this thing that hasn't been replaced. The carb is still original, so are the handlebars.

Dont forget a coil from a 600 mcblock is the same. You just have to shorten the wire.

Looks good Jim

I need a cylinder for a seven series to hack-up this winter. My SP is yet untouched, no love :hmmm:
