Hello all, so I just missed out on one of my dream saws, so in order to help fill that void that is left I would like to get a good looking used Jonsereds 2172. I currently don't have a primary work saw, I just have saws that are part of my growing collection, so I think it would be a good idea to go ahead and grab one. I won't use it enough to buy brand new so I would kinda like to get one that's already broke in but hasn't been over worked. Thanks for reading!

I sure will! I was kinda hoping to get the new X-Torq with the 2172, but I also might buy a brand new one, I haven't completely made up my mind yet, so I'm going to try not and get into a hurry and buy the first thing that pops up, but thank you so much for trying to help me out!

If you go new call Carl at Miller Mod Saws, great guy. He is now a Johnsered dealer.

If my buddy doesn't take the 2166 I have listed it can be made into a 2172 in about 30 minutes.

Keep me in mind on that 2166 also, I was going to try and get it before it sold.

Well I'm always open to suggestions haha, never really though to just have a 2166 turned into a 2172.

All it takes it removing the transfer restrictors

once I get better at repairing my chainsaws I would eventually like to get into modifications as well. But that is a long way away haha.

So if all ther is to it is the transfer restrictions, does that mean a 2166 is still capable of being taken to the same level as a ported 2172?

Well that's good to know, I might just get the 2166 and save a bit of money
