Hello, ive encountered a local ad for Two Super Pros 81, guy asks 50$ for both, 30$ per one.
He states that it takes stupidly long time to start, after pulling and pulling, when starts works fine.
What do you guys reckon?

Ive seen them on bucking billy's videos, he loves them. Seems like they are not appreciated overhere as much.

They both probably need gone through, top to bottom. Usually when a saw takes a lot of pulls to get running,
it's an indicator that the fuel system isn't drawing fuel very well. A lot of the rubber parts in the fuel system
likely need replaced.

What is the parts availability like for this model?

Luckily McCulloch made a bazillion of these and related models, so there should be a substantial parts supply for years to come.

I'm not very knowledgeable about the 50-80cc Macs so someone like Heimannm that's more knowledgeable than me can provide more detail.

Yeah, ill get them.
Wrongly meant "local", not really local (200km distance) so it will need to be shipped, luckily it wont be more than 10$.

Surely will heimannm, i always liked the sound of the old chainsaws, seems like im gonna be a beekeper of two angry bees. hehe

Here they are! Finally!

One (with pressence lever) lacks compression, has some nasty mark on piston... will see what can be done.
Other one... hurts when pulled without decomp valve... i thought it was seized when i pulled first time...
Bars are in suprisingly good condition, new rim sprockets, clutches are not worn at all, recoils work, pretty much everything works.
Fuel lines appear to be new, the reason why it was difficult to start is that the choke was not closing all the way... lol, now starts like new.

Interesting, the older one with no operator presence lever has a chain brake yet the newer saw has no chain brake.

My guess is you will be very happy with a running SP81.
