I made a trip yesterday to pick up a Scotts/John Deere 2552 lawn tractor. The map pic was my trip to get the mower, go to work and back home, lol. The idea was to use the engine for an old Simplicity mower and put the deck under my old Montgomery Wards mower.
I bought the 2552 for $100 and the guys word that the engine ran. 25hp Kohler Command engine. A carb cleaning later, he is a man of his word. It runs, everything about the tractor is in good shape, I'm thinking it may be a better deal to spend the $350 on a new axle. Are these Turf Torq axles worth putting money into?
