Yeah, when they get that big it aint no fun!! I helped a friend do about a 4' white one time, about 250 years old I think. Took us a few days. When I got done I was so sore I think I went through 3 tubes of BenGay. I like the smaller ones too!! Lol

An ash i cut with my huaky 353. Buddy from work had a ms 391. And my boy had his little poulan.

Another ash we cut. I had my 041 with 24 inch bar and my 026. They wererunning same saws as befor. This tree measurwd 32 inch on the stump

Being honest I've never seen it done just that way. I've bored from the back close to the hinge. What exactly is the plan there? Leave holding wood on both sides undercut the middle? I never really have a market near me for logs. I've burned up huge piles of decent logs because they were in my way. I'm usually on edges of woods or hedgerows.
