It is much lighter, and that is a Lepard.

Pay attention Jeff, the 462 is light and fast so it has a Cheetah,

One Hybrid has a Lepard, the other a Black Panther (as they are really the same animal, just different color phases),

The 460 is the Lion,

And the Flying Tiger (as you remember) has a pic of an airplane, not a Tiger!

Another day, another dead Ash (actually, two of them today) as part of my work hours at the Fish & Game club.

The first one was only medium size, and I dropped one leg to the right and one to the left.

The big one was the same diameter as yesterday's tree, but then forked a bunch of times (only got 3 rounds before the forks), but it had lots of wood up top.

My Hybrid did the big stuff, and my 462s did the rest. They don't have as much torque as the Hybrid, but they are light and fast.

Filled my trailer, and still have a bunch left, including the big rounds.

Lead is used for anything doesn’t matter what you’re cutting for. If you’re cutting any which way you make the next guys job slower, it’s harder on equipment, and you’re more likely to bust the logs up if you’re tree length yarding. This is cutting for leading as well as cutting for saving the logs out with a track skidder yarding it’s a practice that gets drilled into guys well cutting.

My first clearing job back in the late 1970s I blazed through and made a pile of pickup sticks 24-32" Doug firs. When the contractor showed with the cat to skid the logs out I became well educated falling for lead not so politely. I learned to line up my lay.

Not quite as ferruled as a Cottonwood, and Tulip is a lot more abundant around here.

It is only called Tulip because of the shape of the leaf. In reality, it is a Magnolia tree, and if you cut one down in the Spring you will see there are flowers up top. The milled lumber from it is sold as Poplar.
