I don’t think some people realize how technical and dangerous tree work is, A lot of engineering and thought goes into taking down a dangerous tree such as that. Thanks for sharing! Regards CatMan.Speaking of strapping a tree..... This was a tree that me and @Scotty Overkill took down about a year ago. It was a tall skinny maple about 65' tall that was standing dead and broke leaning towards a neighbor's house as you can see in the pictures. Not sure how well that you can see it but the top is tangled up in some other trees.

Me climbing to set the rope. Ratchet strapped a second ratchet so the tree wouldn't go any further while I set the rope.

Pulled the tree with the truck ti straighten it up. As Scotty was pulling with the truck I was working the ratchet to keepit in place.

Once it was all straight I climbed it topped it and started piecing it to the ground.
