Thats good to know. I can also use DHL. I’ll maybe use them from now in for US shipments.

DHL has been charging a gross 27-28% duty tax and customs fee on the shipments I've received so far since the de minimus exemption was lifted, just for everyone's awareness.

Not sure what value this adds, but I just received an order from Australia before Xmas, and I didn't pay a tariff. It was for Stihl chainsaw parts. They went from Australia Post to, I thought, Los Angeles, then from there to me through the post office. There was a label on it for a value, maybe for a tariff? I should have taken a picture. I was also supposed to sign for it, but that never happened, so I wonder if someone did an oops.

I send a lot of saws/parts to the US. I’ve only had one complaint about taxes. So they can’t be too bad all the time because I’m sure I’d have heard from more customers. Does it differ from state to state how strict they are?

I can find the best way / company to send it with if anyone is interested in one.

As Bill mentioned, UPS is taking full advantage of the situation and that's natural - they're the largest logistics company in the world. DHL charges their own fees on top of what CBP expects them to collect and if there's any question, they always charge whatever is more expensive. Fedex is collecting the CBP requirements and so far, does not seem to be adding their own fees.

One of my packages came from Japan, the other from Singapore. Both were DHL and both were charged 27-28% of the declared parcel value.
