Trail saw

I have a couple of areas I am thinking about. The hemlock blowdowns are fairly serious, 18" to 24" range. I know I probably need to go get those now on the tractor with some 70cc. There are also an areas of dense cedars more in the 8-12" range. Other than that just the more expected trail stuff, shed limbs, brush. I am thinking of options for bringing a saw in on a strap or pack while skiing or hiking, camping.
Pray tell, what exactly is a Silky Katanaboy?

They make the Katanaboy in a 650 and 1000mm blades as well but prices are stupid on those in the states. You can buy a nice saw for what they want for those. I keep a small homemade thin cut wedge to keep mine from binding. I’ve cut some big stuff with it in a pinch. For smaller limbs less than 6” I use the Silky Bigboy saw.

Yeah, 18"-24" is NOT handsaw fodder!

$350 Echo 4910 is prolly the bang for buck...

You should condense a "trail saw" into multiple roles ...yard/trail/camp/firewood.
Kill several birds with one stone.

Replaceable Silky blades are PRICEY (over $100 for the Katana).

So unless you can sharpen one, your gonna pay (from Japan).

Might want to carry a couple 12.8oz 2mix bottles of extra gas and oil if you are cutting big stuff.
