If you don't have an ad blocker and no ads play during the video then it's not a monetised channel, if ads play then it is. I turn my ad blocker on or off depending on the channel. The more a monetised video is watched no matter how old the more money the channel creator makes, so for example wranglerstar is still making heaps of money from videos he made 7 years ago.

I'm not at the level of the real builders here, but this makes me want to grab a Hiway cylinder kit for MY 390, port it and post a vid of it and how a good cylinder is supposed to run in the comments of this vid. *f-wordin guy really likes taking shots at some solid people, and that pisses me off.

I guess this is the place to discuss the latest IH video. I found it even more distasteful than the previous.

Even if I take his word for it that there were no real marks on the piston, and that the porting, while not pretty to look at, didn’t have burrs in the cylinder...a couple big issues remain:

1) The saw had compression too low to run well. I know .040 squish isn’t ideal, but if compression was really ~120ish, doesn’t that point to another issue? Like maybe the cylinder was out of round or something?

2) The person who examined the saw was not some random, know nothing, “forum guy.” It was someone with a crap-ton of credibility. The “kill switch” explanation doesn’t really line up at all with the info from that diagnosis.

If there’s any bright side here, it does sound like the buyer is getting a refund. Hope that all works out.

Squish is only part of what determines final compression numbers. If that cylinder has a large chamber, it will have less compression than acylinder with a normal sized chamber with the same squish measurement.

I thought it was the hellacious squish.

I FUGGED a cylinder taking too much off the squish buttfukit... didnt feel like belt sanding that one... I only charged the guy 500 not 600 like this dik.

I was thinking actually that...along those lines.... overall this thread needs to be updated a bit. Some new folks here ...some been already mentioned in the thread but I think it would be hilarious to kinda reboot it.

Sometimes doing quality work requires doin less work... when you don't have the equipment for doing precision work to produce it. Lots of hacks trying to make a fast buck they do it for less usually. This guys charging like guys that could charge for that buck if they chose too. People pay for quality and some will pay for that guy knowing without question it's done to keep up with quality a price demands. Takes years of building a reputation of trusted quality to the customer. To demand a price for his work that would speak second to none.
I think this hack found the forums early. Probably learned few tricks from the tricky diks here and there to make a fast buck. Planted a seed in the garden of his mind to craft his B.S.
