For the last week temps have been in the 20s and teens with a brisk wind. It stings your face even if you just walk the dog, put out the garbage or check the mail. That said, I'm so glad I don't live in CA!

And when you hear that Trump warned Newsome about both water management and forest management years ago, your head and your heart both ache!

8 fires now. So many big embers are flying all around with nothing to stop them. Almost no water left. I don’t think LA has a system like SF with big hose lines into the bay. Minor containment on only 1. This is worse than the Oakland/Berkeley hills fire from ‘89. 2900 homes and businesses lost then.
Colleague of my wife lost their place 🙁

Pacific Palisades ran out of water…nothing in the hydrants so crews left to fight elsewhere. Pathetic mismanagement. One scene of a firefighter using an orange cone as a bucket, Geeze…

Didn't help Oakland when everyone was trying to hook up their 4" hoses to 3" hydrants years ago. I think they (Ca) is an ostrich with their head in the sand, throw some money at it to feel good and look the other way when disaster hits. Good thing insurance companies mass cancelled policies 4 months ago...they would have been paying out $$$$$$$. I wonder who tipped them off?

We’ll let you research that one. The spam aftermath should be quite entertaining so, be sure to share. 😀
My first year of teaching one of the older teachers signed me up for a bunch of Russian and SE Asian mail order bride crap. This was before the internet so it was constantly being mailed to the school.

It was actually funny

I had a coworker that got really pissed off by another coworker and wanted to go key her car. I told her she shouldn't do anything that should potentially send her to jail, so I told her she could go to the supermarket and get a few of the cards from magazines for products or magazine subscriptions and have them sent to the office in the offending coworker's name (a big no-no to get personal mail at work). A week later all sorts of mail, magazines and products showed up in the offending coworker's name....I mean it was lots. The secretary went ballistic over all of the crap coming in and the offending coworker was freaking out not knowing where this was coming from. I asked my coworker how many of these things she actually sent in and she stated about 50-60...it was hilarious!!

I'll remember that one!
