That's a great saw to work with. The big bore 460 got some fresh plastics today, farmertec air filter cover and engine shroud, and oem name plate... next is getting a nameplate for the recoil and some appropriately colored paint to restore it to beauty...

The big bore isnt even broken in yet, and with the mild port work i did (fixed the horrible transfers, fixed the offset oblong exhaust roof, and widened out the intake and exhaust, along with raising the exhaust and lowering the intake each about a mm or so, i dont do precision port work... i guess at what looks "right" and and so far have gotten darn luckyThat's a great saw to work with.
Now that's an absurd question if I ever seen one. My lineup includes 044, 046, 461, and 462--looks like I'm missing a 460 in there.do i really need 3 70+cc saws?
Looks like you are missing more than that.... i dont see an ms440, or 441 either.....Now that's an absurd question if I ever seen one. My lineup includes 044, 046, 461, and 462--looks like I'm missing a 460 in there.

Good lord am I envious of all that space! My tool shed makes me look like a hoarder. I've been tempted to try hanging some saws like that. Do you ever have bar oil leak on to the saws below or do you empty the tank before hanging?Looks like you are missing more than that.... i dont see an ms440, or 441 either.....
Heres the family photo, ms194t, ms280, ms261, ms362, 044, ms460, ms661, and a swedish cousin 455 rancher, not shown is grandpappy 020ave (was chasing carb issues at the shop i work at), and the "lend out saw" poulan pro 50cc 20" bar(ironically was lent out to a coworker when i organized mt chainsaw wall)... you can also see the br600, but the FS130 is also out of shot....LOL since this pic i also hung all my chains on nails on the 2x4 to the right of the saws, organized by length and drive pitch, from 14" 3/8, to 36" 3/8 with a a "few" sizes scattered between....(16lp,18-.325,20-3/8,25-3/8, 32-3/8, 32-.404)i kept the 12,14, and 16 1/4‐.050 chains for the 020 hanging with thier respective bars...

Thanks for the envy... we just moved here and i lucked into having this shed, which also has the coal/wood stove, a second smaller shed, and a garage sized metal building that houses the mower and the yard tractor...Good lord am I envious of all that space! Well….. do you love it?View attachment 480910
Ran a tank through my new 500i.
I do, I got 2 saws for work when Helene hit , a 500i and a 592xp. Both worked flawlessly and got a lifetime of hours on them in about 4 months.Well….. do you love it?
