Wilhelm, the guy says he should be able to reproduce those decals no problem but needs a better quality photo. Might you have one?
Unfortunately I only have the ones on my saws, but I will try and get closer pictures tomorrow (too dark now).
I'll try different cameras, although my non-smart phone makes the best macro-pictures.

Did he say anything regarding pricing?
I don't NEED these decals, but I WANT some.
Maybe even supersized so I can stick them on my car trailer.

I'll see what I can do regarding better pictures tomorrow afternoon.

Wilhelm, I will ask him if I can pm you his e-mail. His prices on ebay are quite reasonable. The guy says that the recoil logo is scanned in and ready to print, he just needs a better image of the "Made in Germany" logo.

I'll sort it out today after work.

I can place the square decal in my scanner, should give the best results - unless my scanner doesn't like the silver/grey color of the decal.

Yes, that is correct. That decal is apparently not available in the USA, or at least no one bothers to carry it. There are several places that sell Dolmar parts and you can order by entering part numbers on their websites. That number is not recognized.

Here You go.

JPG file 300dpi and 600dpi, PDF file 300dpi and 600dpi OCR editable/searchable.
This is the best I can do with my scanner.

I hope this works for You.

Sorry for the delay, had a *s-wordty week at work and my main desktop PC had the fits so I had to enable the scanner on my laptop (secondary PC).

EDIT:
Please take note that the attached JPG pictures are of lesser quality than stated because the forum software resized them!

The PDF files are untouched and can also be edited and printed quite nicely.

The forum software resized the pictures, they are supposed to be 1 and 2.75 MB in size.

PM me Your e-mail address and I'll forward You the pictures by mail!

Will do, thanks.

Today, I installed the adjustable carb on the 5105. This carb is pretty easy to change out, don't really have to remove any parts other than the top cover and air filter. The initial settings per the service manual are 1.5 turns out each, high and low. I gave them 1-3/4 turns out each to be on the safe side. The 5105 fired right up, and I gave it some exercise on a 10" diameter hedge apple tree that had fallen down. This tree is not dead, and the wood is stringy and tough; probably the toughest wood we have around here. The 5105 ripped right through it no problem. Once it was warmed up, I checked the RPM with my tach. At idle it is around 2500, which is factory spec. At WOT no load it is turning out a consistent 13,700. The rated maximum in the manual is 14,500. I finished cutting the hedge apple and decided to leave it where it is for now. I may go a bit more rich after trying it in some thicker wood, which should be in a few days.

One thing that has always amazed me about this saw is the chips have some real velocity to them. It is the strongest saw in my battery but dang, you wouldn't think it would be that far ahead of the Jonny 2150. Yet it is, this saw really rips!

Since this carb is brand new, I am wondering if I should richen or lean it to the point that the saw is running maximum rpm at WOT no load, then richen it from there. The mixture screws are not yet two turns out, which seems lean to me although the saw seems to run fine. I don't hear any four stroking WOT with no load. The little hedge apple tree I was cutting is tough but still well below the saw's capabilities.

You will want to hear it 4 stroke at wot w/no load, then get it into wood and tune so it clears up when you put a load on it.

Thanks, will do. According to the Dolmar website, the WOT max is 13,800 for my saw, not 14,500. The 14,500 figure came from my repair manual which is a few years old.

All the rpm figures and numbers can help to get it close, but if a guy learns to tune by ear in the wood then you'll always have the ability to keep it tuned wherever you are. When the saw is completely warmed; lift the weight off in the cut and it should immediately 4 stroke then start cutting and that 4 stroke sound goes away and it settles in to a regular 2 cycle sound.

Thanks very much, will remember that. My main concern in tuning anything is longevity, I don't use any of my machinery for a living.

AJ, you da man!!

Gave the 5105 more exercise today. On the menu was a big limb that had fallen off the dead maple that I am slowly cutting up. This limb was a good 25 feet long and probably 14" diameter at the base. The tree hasn't been dead too long so the wood is still pretty tough. The 5105 ate it up no problem. As suggested I richened it to where it four stroked at WOT and cleaned up under load. Probably richened it a little much, when you put it in the wood it still four strokes for a few seconds and then cleans up. Still four strokes periodically while cutting. One thing I have been wondering is, at what point do you measure the maximum RPM? Most of my 2 strokes will slowly climb in RPMs if you just hold the trigger down WOT with no load, which the 5105 certainly does.. It seems to hang out around 13,600 mostly.

This is what i do.
If I am setting a 5105 up from new then i tend to check rpm after i can feel the heat from the motor and set at max 13500 rpm for the first 10 mins or so. All the 5105 saws here are coil limited at 13800 so TAC tuning is posable "if "you come from way rich up towards the limiter, or you get false readings. I find the saws once used for a while (like your saw ) tend to flick up to the limit very easy when hot so ultimately that is where I do final checks as they do run very rich when not "fully hot".
13600 -13700 rpm are good numbers "coming from" way rich in my opinion so you are sure the limiter is not having a effect.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. My saw has a limiter but it seems to kick in more like around 13,900 or so. The limiter on the Dolmar is also not as harsh as on my Echo saws, it doesn't send it tumbling backwards by 2000 RPM. One gent on the Dolmar FB group suggested that it is more important with this saw to ensure you have enough oil in the mix rather than worry about RPM. All my oil burners get synthetic mixed at 36:1 with fuel stabilizer.
