Thanks lee and 166
I picked this saw up on a bad picture from Ebay it runs ok now , done the fuel lines cleaned the carb put a old stock tank vent in changed out the oil pump as the worm was misssing but the saw has been dropped or hit bad as the cylinder is covered in petrol oil exhaust gases after removing the exhaust , half of the exhaust manifold flange has broken off from the cylinder and it's too deep a crack to weld back on for it too last
the 123 has a horizontal plug the same as the 122s

Yes exactly Lee also another thing I've noticed is the stud mountings on the 123 cylinder are 1.30pm and 7.30pm the 122 are 3am and 9am

In the vintage saw theme.

Currently having fun with the 152 rim sprocket setup. Modified a a 153/166 drum to fit on the 152 (took down the spline end 3mm), unfortunately after running for abit it now fails to transfer any drive to the chain.

So I believe for reliability will have to go back to the stock rim setup, which is a larger clutch spline. This limits me to an 8 tooth .404 sprocket though :(

For an alternative may turn down a spur sprocket and braze a standard large spline rim onto it. Anyone else have these issues or a sudgestion?

*edit* Also presumably this would also be an issue faced for ct owners aswell, as it also has the spacer sheath on the crank that a larger roller bearing goes over to accommodate the larger drum centre.

Nice. We need a local Amazon warehouse/distribution centre in NZ. That saw was a heck of a deal on Amazon. As most Kiwis and Ozzies will attest, it's blardy frustrating at times seeing the great deals available on chainsaw stuff compared to NZ.
