Replace the drum and needle bearing also. Something is wrong with this wear.
I thought it seemed odd. My other 115 is not like that, although it has low hours and too nice I can't bring myself to cut wood with it yet. Bearing runs smooth, no lateral runout to the drum, not out of round, and no abnormal wear.

Wiggle the pto side shaft without the clutch and drum on it. Is there any play? (Bad bearings). Observe the clutch inside the drum mounted to the saw as you pull over the saw. Does it move up and down a lot? (Bent crank).

I do fully agree with Andrew

I very strongly recommend a slight muffler mod with this model, it'll give you strong results with little effort
Muffler mod was already done when I took those pics. Lol.

It’s a very light little saw, only 4kg/9lbs. I’m impressed by it. It’ll stay as a part of my little collection.

Zero endplay, zero movement in the crankshaft. I guess I will just find a different drum, clutch, and bearing and go from there.

Torn down for a major detailed cleaning. Fuel line/filter, carb kit, still needs a drum and clutch, and replaced the sprocker it was shot. All I had on hand was a new 3/8-7. Have a nice 64dl from when I swapped the 510 over to 325-16 so I figured why not. Burned a tank cutting up a 12" or so cherry. So this is what I've been missing the last 25 years. Pulled roughly same rpm as 325 by ear and just ate wood. I absolutely love these 115i's. Never thought I would ever have another one, but bought a really clean low hour one same year '94 from @fordf150 last year. It was in a few month old ad with several other saws and it was the lone one left that nobody wanted. I can't bring myself to put it in wood. 20200418_145718.jpg 20200422_174151.jpg 20200422_174240.jpg I guess it was just meant to be. I will never be without these.

Any vids of these saws cutting wood?
Nope. I'm real dumb when it comes to tech stuff. My thoughts are they will never wow anyone here. 52cc 3.7 hp. It's the most compact, comfortable saw I have ever used to me. It just feels special. I just cut to stay warm and am not a speed junkie. Someday when I get back to work again I will have my brand new 5105 sitting on a shelf stuffed with sausage. I still can't see it becoming #1. I know the 5105 has been called fat, but these are the 2 together.20200422_190257.jpg

Nice. You gotta get current.
Have someone else that knows how to take a phone video do it for you. LOL
I'm no speed junkie either, but it sure does make cutting much more fun and enjoyable. [emoji16][emoji106]
