They carried the 350 and that body style into 2000 or 2001? In the 1 ton trucks, but yes, last year for the utilities.

That 8.1 was a good engine. Had one in an 02 GMC truck. It liked gasoline.
It sure does but I don’t usually put more than 2K a year on my trucks.
The company van however usually sees 20K.

I wait until the trailer hitch receiver rusts off before I sell them, when there’s a rust outline every time you slam the door.

The old Cherokee chief sat in his reservation hut, smoking the ceremonial pipe, eyeing the two U.S. government officials sent to interview him.

“Chief Two Eagles,” one official began, “you have observed the white man for many generations, you have seen his wars and his products, you have seen all his progress, and all his problems.”

The chief nodded. The official continued, “Considering recent events, in your opinion, where has the white man gone wrong?”

The chief stared at the government officials for over a minute, and then calmly replied: “When white man found this land, Indians were running it. No taxes. No debt. Plenty buffalo. Plenty beaver. Plenty fuel. Children play together. Women cooked own food. Medicine man free. Indian men hunted and fished all the time.”

The chief smiled, and added quietly, “White man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that?”

One time I hit a pot hole, cable snapped holding the spare tire, spare bounced just right and caught the hitch. Back tires off the ground as I rolled over the tire lengthwise.
Pull over, throw spare in bed, kick receiver several times cause it’s hanging crooked, receiver falls only to be held by a ground wire.
Receiver on top of spare in bed, for sale sign next day.

The receiver was now on top of the spare in the bed. I hung up a "For Sale" sign the next day.
Please check my editing. Were you selling the tire or the truck? With all of our pot holes, today you could offer to sell 4000 trucks in Nebraska.

Sold as a package, lol. In fact, the cradle that holds the spare never separated from the rim, rusted together.
That was a while back when scrap prices were high and cheap pick-ups were selling like crazy. I did pretty well on it.

Be careful, guys:

A truck driver and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table. The husband gets up in a rage and says, “And you are no good in bed either,” and storms out of the house.

He rolls the rig down the road and after some time he realizes he was nasty and decides to make amends and rings her up. She answers the phone after many rings and the irritated husband says, “What took you so long to answer the phone?”

She says, “I was in bed.”

“What are you doing in bed at this hour?”

“Getting a second opinion!"
