Who needs videos? Words work for me. Here are some great truths that adults have learned:
1. Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-O to a tree.
2. Wrinkles don’t hurt.
3. Families are like fudge... mostly sweet, with a few nuts.
4. Today’s mighty oak is just yesterday’s nut that held its ground.
5. Laughing is good exercise. It’s like jogging on the inside.
6. Middle age is when you choose your cereal for the fiber, not the toy.

Sorry fellas, no video time lately.
Kids have had band concerts, this weekend is their play and we have been truck shopping for the wife.
I would own a 2015 Yukon XL right now if I wasn’t worried about that damn AFM.

Dave, dont sweat the AFM.
I work on them for a living, and my wife had one. My sister has one.
I can nit pick any of them, because I see them at their worst. But in reality, the failures I see on AFM is nowhere near as common as other stuff.

Anything mechanical can break at any time, which guys like us are aware of, but it wouldnt keep me from owning one.

I wonder what their theory on that is.

The new stuff deactivates cylinders no matter what gear is selected provided it meets certain criteria as far as throttle percentage, load, etc.
cfb just bought a 2017 and doesnt like the afm on his and i shared a video on youtube about one guy said i know nothing about it really my stuff is older and where you can actually work on things
so if you do have have some information you can share maybe @Canadian farm boy can use the information also

I had a discussion with Mike about some stuff prior to him getting it.

Personally, I wish it wasnt there or a person could choose to turn it off, but GM doesnt ask my opinion.

A guy could have it "tuned", but just have it turned off. It will void the powertrain warranty however as any time I go inside, I have to get all the programming data out of them and cross it to the GM system to verify its legit.

If a guy is going from an older truck to one with it, he will notice it for sure, but on the new ones it actually happens so seamlessly that even I have to pay attention most times to notice it.
