My Dad did not say much about the war, but I think the most memorable line he stated was this:

He was a radio operator in the Tank Destroyers, operating in the wide open farm fields in Germany. But as a radio operator, they issued him a 30 cal carbine. I asked him what he did with that, and he replied "The first thing you did was trade the carbine for an M-1, with someone who did not need his any more".

My Grandpa said the same thing plus get the *f-word away from the machine gunners

Those look like real nice #s!!! I would just double check all the bevels. Some of mine did not feel right even if they looked OK. I went over all of them with 220 grit, and used the paint stirrer with a 45 degree cut to help me reach the tops of the intake, transfers, and exhaust (makes it a lot easier on your fingers).

I triple checked this one Mike lol I cleaned up a few areas and beveled a few more with my fordom.

I hate to bum you out but I got caught up tinkering with the saw. Before I knew it I was fueling it up and starting it! I promise tomorrow for sure brother
