When I googled Winona MN then Driftless Area I popped to south east of Decora IA at Driftless Area National wildlife Refuge. Elkader IA. Then South Fork didn't connect me to anywhere.Here’s a good view of where I’m working:
2 more Black Walnut trees (18” DBH/ea) over looking the valley below with the South Fork running along, my log landing and pickup, and cattle at the hay wagons in the way back. For some perspective, the hills here are roughly 400’ in elevation. Some are quite manageable, and others are too steep to log. They call this area the “Driftless” region.
