Mostly depends on conditions if in drought lack of rain the bark can be a pita to get off.

Wow railroad ties. I wonder how they did the two flat sides top and bottom probably with a broad axe no messing around with the old timers.

My great great grandfather was a hewer before he took the farm over. Looking at the broad axe he used I wouldn’t have wanted to tangle with the man

Quite a trek last week about a 100 disease larch too clear fell it's the steep hill on the right

Machines came back on Friday a few repairs and grease up and out the yard soon

1st load of timber leaving the site we started a couple of weeks ago

I had too pick up some hydraulic oil and filters
So followed him a little way he wasn't hanging about this timber was green and heavy
