We are working at the bottom of the Callahans outside of Melrose Oregon

That unit in the background of the picture mentioning me is a unit we cut on last year. 3 units touching within 2 years of each other. All different landowners however.

Used to catch the ferry there B4 the island HWY was done, worked at the big Island Copper mine fer a bit.

I haven't travelled the island since 1988, it was a snail pace on that old highway going up north but I didn't miss any sites along the way. Wasn't such a bad drive as me and my girlfriend were travelling in my new '88 Chrysler Daytona .
Hopefully will be up there next year with my wife and kids in the pickup. Also hopefully Ron Hartill is still around at Cowichan Lake.
