what part of Ireland, I'm from Tipperary
Yup and Westrock might be the other mill up there.Biggest outfit in my town now has a Droid. There is a company next town over that dwarfs these guys. Anyway here's where our pulp wood goes. I think @Dub11 gets paper from sappi
how thick is that paper?I used to cut kraft paper rolls in half with my 090 for our local Manitoba paper mill whenever they needed un marketable rolls put back into the repulper. Strongest paper in the world, used for cement and sugar bags.

Very thin, you know how thin and strong cement bags are?Yup and Westrock might be the other mill up there.
how thick is that paper?
And yes I have thought how funny it would by to saw a roll in half lol. Rolls at work are 5ft diameter max.
Probably more than a mile lol. The thinnest stock we use is 80lb and th rolls have 35000 ft on them. Kraft paper ranges from 50-90lb. The papaer I run the most of comes from Virginia and is .012 thick card stock for kids games.Very thin, you know how thin and strong cement bags are?
I was told there was 1 mile of paper in those rolls if unwound.
Hardest thing I ever cut.
Took 5 minutes WOT for one cut using Stihl .404 .063 harvester chain. Had to touch up the cutters lightly with a file after every cut. The company has since bought a $30K hydraulic guillotine press cutter.
You can google SPX/ SPK kraft paper. Made from long fiber Manitoba black spruce.
@Dub11 Wayne do you get any paper from blandin paper aka upm? They used to be a great company my dad worked there for quite a while. Then UPM bought blandin and they laid off like 300+ workers and took 70% of the pension money. That place has all but shut it's door now. But UPM bought them to become a world wide company and save shipping tax no other reason. Buch of BS if you ask me!
