Alot of those Nodwell's were sold to Russia for logging.
Canadian Bruce Nodwell invented the Nodwell 110 for the Alberta oil patch in the 1940's.
We used them occasionaly in our Manitoba logging camps to transport fuel and men in swampy areas.
They're logging some nice second-growth these days. California has some intense land-use and commercial forestry regulations
which can be tough hoops to jump through. Even private land owners have to submit a logging and rehabilitation plan and obtain
permissions from several sources.
