guessin 318 in that w/dual 4".
ran a 72 kw like that. 13spd, rubber block, nice ol truck.
wood floor helped kill some o the noise.

What sorta year is that truck 13speed is that 12speed + 1 crawler gear

do they have 18spd over there? if so, the 13 is basically the same, just no split in lo range.
truck in pic is pre 75 kw. square lettering on hood was up til 74.

how it works, dont like his preselecting splits tho.

Mostly it’s a 4 speed stick and then. Range change and a splitter

But most where fuller 13 speeds then the 18speed came in as you say
Splitter in low

Now it’s mostly 12 speed auto with manual override

Some autos are quite jerky unless fully laden

Also a good set up over here was Eaton two speed axle
Paired too a fuller 5-speed gearbox or in some trucks
You could have a David brown 6-speed bos with a 2- speed axle
In the 80’s if you had a Perkins V8 or a Rolls 285
Hooked too this it would fly up the hills

There used too be alsorts going on bus axles on trucks
And when the 9- speed fuller came over there was a few that
Put 2-speed axle as well DOT had a field day on the freeway catching trucks doing 75+
