Im gonna bring the SuperSplit HD just for chits and grins...

Here's my thinking...most folks have probably never seen one/ran one in person. It'll be a great talking piece anyhow, and everybody can check it out, pull the flywheel covers off of it, run it, whatever. Hell...now I sound like a paid Paul/SS salesman, lol.

My theory is this gentlemen...I may be willing to part ways with my pristine SS HD, 90lb each flywheels...I've busted about 5 cords of wood with it, but I custom cut a sheet of 1/8" phenolic to clamp down to the table, keep it from getting all scratched up, plus Kiwibro had a great idea about re-sliding splits to be hit again, with his idea. It sports the Honda GX 200 with a Hardline hour meter and tach. For some reason the hour meter doesn't keep up, maybe I bought a turd one, but it doesn't seem to register actual usage hour-wise. Figure out your own math with what it takes for a cycle time that these things do...in other words, less than 10 hrs, and I'm giving it a couple of hours. I do find the tach is spot on though with RPM's. I've hit it with a couple different external rpm guns and tape. Paul at SS, and the manual for the SS HD recommends an engine RPM a little over 3000-3200, the H0nda GX200 maxed out will get about 3800. I've ran it maxed out at times, absolutely zero problems. Rack to pinion gear is as effortless to engage at the high end, maxed out rpm's as it it around 3000-3200 rpm's. It simply busts woods in about 2.5-3 secs, no matter how ya add it or stack it. I have also added a set of $80 front stabilizer legs to the machine...same set of legs that Split Second Log Splitter has, they fit perfect for all SS models.

I'll bring the SS HD to the GTG...I drive an '06 Dodge 4x4 MegaCab that just eats Hemi gas. It doesn't make a damn whether I have a 5x10 trailer behind it or not. It sucks the fuel regardless.

If any interested buyers, I will have the factory invoice, what I paid, everything. Cash only deal, ain't got no way to settle a credit card transaction, and no personal checks. I do have a Paypal account, that would work as well, I've just never received funds through it, only purchased things though it. The stabilizer legs can be seen easily on Agri-Fabs site or Split Second Log Splitters site. I paid $80 for them. Understand fellas, this machine will not be had for a $2500 cash offer. I have just over $3300 in it with the stabilizer legs. And you don't have to fool with outrageous shipping prices from Mass to get it home.

Pics...as it sits right now in my shop...

...lighting kinda sux at the front angles a bit...but the machine is, what the machine is.

Barring no crazy ass new development in our war theory...I work DoD, C-17 GlobeMaster avionics/flight controls maintenance/production...when it's all said and done...and getting my ass shotgunned on a TDY is a real probability,..sometimes it comes with short notice...

My plans is simple...show up for a great time, comraderie to meet a bunch of good fellas, with the SS HD, run a saw or two...I'll be more than happy, cause I ain't geeked up like most you saw nodded fools are, to man the the Geills, keep the groceries where they need to be. I still say my Hoskvarna 55 with a base gasket delete is the fastest thing on the planet. Don't give a damn what y'all say. I'll say one thing fellas, the day Marks' 55 showed up on my doorstep...it's been a damn fining running saw. And it don't check up at all. It's my go to saw outta all the stuff I got in my sig. Don't even bother firing the others up most times, except to give them a little idle/run time. I probably need to shed some saws as well.

If any of my wood splitting brothers are interested in the SS HD, speak now.

Enjoy your evening fellas.

If I do happen to get time off with good behavior . Do you need us to bring anything ?
Chris
@Mastermind

As the date gets closer we will make a list of who's coming, and what they wanna bring. If you ask me, just bring yourself, and whatever you want. I plan on having food, drink, wood to cut, etc.
Looks to me about 6 hours from Allen county Ohio to Morgan county Tn .Straight down I-75

Is love to see you here Al. You and I have both been around a lot of these sites over the years, it would be nice to meet you.

Jason. You bring that splitter. I'll make sure we have wood to split. For anyone that ain't seen a SS in action, it's a treat.

Been on 75 lately? It's a mess around North Baltimore /Findlay.
I make that trip a few times a month .My lady friend lives in Sylvania but at the moment is residing with me for a while .I-75 is a mess as well as I-80. I've taken I-80 to Denver and I-75 to Tampa within the past year and a half and can't help wonder where in the world all those plastic barrells came from.

My family is from the Jelico area Al. There's a cemetery in Elk Valley with about 5 generations of our people buried in it.
