Central Kentucky here, Madison County. Family has been in this area since before statehood. My mom's place is on land originally awarded to a great grandfather for service in the Revolution.
Spent 5 and a half months working in Erlanger when the pandemic hit. Didn't see much of your state but everyone we ran into and worked with was pretty cool.

I live in east TN about 50 miles north of Knoxville. Like @Mastermind, the county is very poor and most people either draw a check, sale dope, or are retired and moved here from up North. I live on a 24,444 acre wildlife management area so the kids and us have plenty of backyard to play in! 7FE36F9C-A801-407A-97CD-410153347730.png

I live in Carinthia, south of Austria, near the Borders to Italy and Slovenia. Here are a lot of Tourism, and most People live from it. Many Lakes and Mountains. I love this Place!

Straight ahead is Italy, 15 minutes with the car.

A house fell into a sink hole two blocks from my house a few years ago.
Top that.

Part of my property was owned by 2 brothers. 1 was married. An affair ensued. The one brother murdered the other, dragged his body into the woods. There were 2 houses next to each other.
A few years prior, there was a house fire, 3 people died.
The new home owners (10 years later) were out playing croquet. Dude tosses the mallet in the air, takes the handle in the eye. My wife and I watched the flight for life land down the road.
Couple years later, dude up the road, flying a kite with his kid, running across the yard, trips, falls, takes a pipe in the eye. Scrambles his brain, now lives in a home.
That's the cliff-notes version of it all..
Not sure if that tops a house falling into the earth or not.

Yeah, two brothers having an affair with each other pretty much takes the lead.

I would say so, that's a lot of chaos for a small area.

In the early 90's, my mom's neighbor blew up his shop with a home-brew meth lab. He caught his hair on fire and now he sports the Telly Savalas look.

Apparently he'd been selling meth and hashish for quite some time. He ended up losing the property.

Prior to that he was running a pretty quiet life - working for Weyerhaueser and restoring classic cars.
