This is a great reminder, it also brought back memories of an old Sam Cooke tune he sang with the Soul Stirrers entitled, "I Have A Friend Above All Others". Rare voice & gifting that man possessed... WOW! You don't hear singing like that too much nowadays...A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Indeed it is. Came right out of Proverbs. This is a great reminder, it also brought back memories of an old Sam Cooke tune he sang with the Soul Stirrers entitled, "I Have A Friend Above All Others". Facts indeed...quoted it on many occasions!Indeed it is. Came right out of Proverbs.
Sam puts his heart into singing.
I had not known how he died till now. Still hard to know if how it happened is true. Sad either way. Life is short, eternity is forever. Live accordingly.Facts indeed...quoted it on many occasions!
My 88 yr old Pops saw Sam sing Gospel and later when he went secular and started his own record label.
Tragic how he exited, yet we all have feet of clay...
There’s nothing to be learned from the second kick of a mule.

Same here! At times I've felt like the "President of the King of Pain Club!"What about the third, fourth, or fifth? That's when I usually learn my lesson!
