Storm damage

Any body get hit hard last Thursday with extreme winds. Just a few pics. from the small tornado that hit here. The two main roads here were closed for hours for trees and power lines down.

We lost the top story on one of our rental houses but it was the first part of March

One at a time. My brother worked all day today trying to help me fix this mess up. plus almost broke the glass out of the tractor cab moving unseen trees. Total 4 sheds and untold fences. Of my 60 years of excintice, this is one of the biggest messes I have seen yet!

A tornado is a hell of a thing and very pinpoint specific. It hit our house the hardest and left neighbors in decent shape. The rentr called me frantic (for good reason) and said the upstairs is gone

I agree, as a 65# tractor drawbar was was moved over 12 feet and empty 1 gallon oil jugs were never touched.

All cleaned up. Ended up dropping the Hickory that had the top hanging over the road. Couldn't get it to break loose.
Easy firewood for next year.

We had a few trees down, few power lines, wasn't too serious.

The rain is still coming through the "skylight" (no roof) through the upstairs into the kitchen then through the kitchen floor. I will be boring a hole in teh kitchen floor to get it into the basement faster.

Wasn't too awful bad. One of my neighbors came over and helped me clean it up.
We had it all cut up and moved in about four hours.
He'll be getting a few slabs of smoked ribs tomorrow.

They all fared well. The renter is a real piece of work. She was home but thankfully her kids were not. They would have been sleeping in that room had they been home as it occurred at 9-10PM. When my son and I went over I was expecting a total loss. The insurance company wants us to fix it. If i owned the houses on each side it would be a total loss but we have to fix it
