Can or does any know the differences in the service tool AS part number 5910 007 2222 and the older 5910 007 2205.
There must have been some design changes but i cant find tech bulletin on it.

From what I know the older 2205 came with the bar stud arm
that was a welded . the newer one had the arm that was a bolt on
version and had more drillings for different saws

I figured it was only some small differences. Thank for responding. Wonder if the 2205 will fit the 500i and 881

If you get the repair manual for the particular saw in question at the time, it will have listed every special tool needed to repair that saw.

Well the service manual for the 500 and 881 says the 2222 tool. But that is also the current tool. That doesn't not mean the 2205 will not work. May have to modify the holes for the bar studs or something along those lines. Or just buy the tool.
