I have a Stihl MS 170, it was bogging badly, I bought a new oem ( Zama ) Carburetor, and installed, and still the same issue, so I replaced the fuel line and the filter, and it didn't help a bit, it starts right up, but really bogs when trying to throttle up, there are no adjustments on the carburetor, please comment, I am ready to try almost anything.. Thanks in advance.. Ed

Since you tried everything I'll tell you what might fix it: Buy another new carburetor, this time buy one you can adjust. Zamas are okay but I'd never buy a new one that can't be adjusted. And make sure the pulse opening isn't blocked..

Also check to make sure the flywheel has not moved and altered the timing.

Clean the new carb out. I found turnings in more than one of those fixed high jet china carbs. Is the intake boot clamp broke? Check it.

I had one that the intake ring on the boot had a plastic mounding nipple that stuck out causing an air leak. Started like Chet and would bog. Clipped the stub off and ran perfecto.
