Hello all, did a case repair on a Stihl MS 211 yesterday, 2-8-18. The bottom support for the handle was broken off. So made these aluminum plate brackets to fit the inside of the chainsaw case, bolted them in to hold the handle in its proper location. Worked well. Saved the customer money not having to buy a new case.

Looks very good, :);)

if it had been taken into my local stealership, they'd say it's junk buy a new saw

Yes it’s very sad that we live in a throw away society, if it’s broken throw it away. Seems very few have a creative spirit anymore. I guess that’s why I like this forum so much. People here have that creative spirit and we all can learn from one another. I’ll have to remember that about the local stealership, it’s true in some cases. The average cost of repair nowadays seems to be a little more than half the cost of a new item, or replacement cost of it. I’m not saying all are like that, but I myself have ran across a few.
