I was going to switch the chain to full chisel, but I already have a few, so I got that semi skip chisel chain. Looks cool. Missing every 3 tooth. They state that it helps clean out the groove better when cutting.

It keeps the kerf cleaner because there are less chips being made in the cut. Chip clearance won't be noticeable with a 20" bar but it'll cut slower than full comp chain.

It'll be fine for any cutting you're gonna do, its just not gonna be as fast due to less cutters.

Skip and semi skip also allow you to run longer bars on smaller saws because it has less cutters so takes less power to pull it.

Just got my correct bar in today. It is very nice. It says Tsumura right on the bar tip.

Very good. Mine will have to wait til I get home. Having a blast in vacation but it will end soon enough. Just might put the chain aside as 1 of my 044's is going to wear ripping chain that I ordered from them. They have a real good price on 24" Carlton chain too.... $15. I'm glad you turned me on to them!
