Does the primer bulb fill at least halfway? Those OEM zama carbs are junk. I had a BG86 that ran very lean brand new. Wife ran it a couple times and then commented it was hard to start. Muffler was blued after 2 uses. Turns out the primer bulb would only fill to about 2-3mm of fuel in it, so something was wrong with the circuits or diaphragm. I took it apart, cleaned, checked fuel lines and filter, everything easy, and it still wouldnt fill right. Ended up getting the carb warrantied. The replacement carb would fill about 2/3 full and stay that way during operation. It's still a disappointing blower, but at least it runs now. If the primer bulb doesn't fill at least halfway, I would get a new carb...and honestly I would get a Chinese amazon special rather than Stihl/Zama OE carb. Handheld Stihl blowers are the most disappointing thing stihl makes IMO.
