I should have said if you want to keep the cover on the saw. How much dose the cover hurt a saw or is it more the stock air filter?

If it's raining or snowing I run a saw with the stock setup and bring extra hd2 filters.

Some stock covers work too ......... dont "need" the Max Flow cover for the 661

It packs up debris in bunches at certain areas.
Running no cover, I dont think I have ever had to brush them off, mostly everything just falls off

I'm too cheap to buy a max flow. But it's easy to see why there's more flow. Nice pics
