Stihl 391 top end kit

I have a friend who had a plug come out of his 391. It pulled the threads when it came out. He tried a helicoil and it blew it out as well. Does anyone know of a quality aftermarket kit for these saws? Stealership wanted $329 for the top end kit.

There are two different cylinders for that particular saw. One has three screws for the intake, the other has four. PM sent I have a new four screw here.

At $329 it probably is the four bolt. I priced a 3 bolt bout a year ago and it was around $160 from stihl locally. If it happens to be a 3 bolt, Travers Creek INC shows them with a pop-up on their website. I have no experience with there cylinder but I have used that pop-up piston.

I gave 255.00 for the one I have here and that was 10 over dealer cost. A few years ago.

They're a 3 bolt, that particular cylinder is cast/plated by Hyway. They're the only manufacturer with a 391 cylinder in the market for now, but I believe there may be another in the future. We match it with one of our pistons.

I'm not 100% certain as I haven't compared the two side by side. I think at the minimum it would be All of the related intake parts.

You may have to ask somebody with a little more experience
