I never investigated it further so don't have a clue. I would assume it is ok as it obviously suffered physical trauma... I have a running 070 and this is my "spare parts saw"

That is the one thing I may be interested in price dependent. I want this to be an 090. But I dont wanna drop 600 on new oem I want to make sure it won't destroy it. If that makes sense

Whitty21, you're at such a low starting cost that you can rustle up a lot of nice parts and still be well within a reasonable value on that saw. For what it's worth, the retail price for an OEM 090 top end here in the 'States is right at $300 + tax. Not too bad at all if you ask me. Like many others here, if you need any help with parts or have questions I would be happy to help. Shoot me a PM if you need anything. That's a fun project you have ahead of you!

So I took a closer look today, and it has an 070 clutch on it, didnt notice when I took the bar off. That had me wondering so I measured the cylinder and it was 66mm, so I seem to have a bit of a frankensaw

That's not really a big deal. It sounds like you're considering starting out with a 58mm top end just to see how things go anyway. Also, unless you really plan on putting it to the test that three-shoe clutch will perform quite well. And lastly, if/when you want to upgrade the six-shoe clutches are still available new from the dealer, or I have several and can help.

I appreciate the help. If this starts off as an 070 I will be more than happy. Being in Ontario an 090 is practically a show piece anyways.

That being said I got the bottom end freed up enough to move about an 1/8th of a turn. I have seen a couple bearing needles coming out, so there is something wrong in there. Waiting for the flywheel puller to come in the mail, and will have to borrow a 3 jaw puller to get the clutch off as she is jammed in there

Here are the picture of the partially cleaned case now. Crank looks like it might clean up alright, would just need to find a rod if thats the case.

I'll try to get the jug off my parts 070 today. Maybe we can work out something on parts. Don't like to ship international though...

Thats fair, I have shipped lots of parts internationally, as well as whole saws, and bought as well. If we can figure out a deal Thats cool. But I am in absolutely no rush.

As for parts, I dont have a tonne, but I have some stuff and a few projects. Anything in my sig I may have parts for, also recently got a 019t, that is not in there

Ok, pulled the jug on the 070 today and everything inside looks great. I'll try to put up some pics.
From what you're showing, it seems like you need a rod, upper and lower bearings, piston, piston pin and spacers, circlips and a jug. I have all of those in good condition.
$75 plus shipping.
