I traded my ported 660 with a local logger for this. He has had it in his family for a couple of decades, and it came from a logger in Montana before that.

The saw starts right up and runs, and it oils like crazy.

I will clean this up more deeply before sending it off.

It appears to have been re-painted in a shoddy fashion at some point. I think the paint would wipe off with some solvent.

The main thing: The logger guy replaced a bunch of the factory parts with Chinese parts when he started to use it. He says that he didn't want to but undue wear and tear on the factory stuff while he was milling and noodling big logs with it.

The saw currently has an aftermarket piston and cylinder, crank and bearings, muffler, front and rear handle, clutch cover, and carburetor. It comes with all the original parts of you wish to put them back on, except for the clutch cover.

The Montana logger guy freehanded labels on the controls with an engraving tool, as you can see in the pictures.

There is a small crack in the top cover.

The starter cover is missing some fins.

It will come with the original 48" hard nose bar and 1/2 inch chain. The nose could use some dressing.

If this doesn't sell as-is, I'll restore it to OEM and re list it for more.

I'd love to flip it for $1200 to somebody who could use it.

Well, that was quick, lol

I got to run one with a 48” bar back in the 90s. My hands still tingle…

Says in description all oem parts go with except clutch cover, i really don’t understand why a person would spend the effort to strip an oem saw and fill it with China parts right down to the crank. At that point I’d spend a few hundred on a 070 clone to mill with and save the work stripping the saw.

Yes, I have the OEM parts. See the pictures. I can send more if you want to see anything specifically in more detail.

He did actually buy a Chinese 070 too haha. I think he did it because the saw used to belong to his dad and he had some interest in working on the saw for fun. I don't fully understand either, to be honest, but I can't argue with the fact that the parts he gave me are genuine OEM originals.

UPDATE: I found a bit of play in the current bearings. I ordered a gasket and seal kit, and I plan on rebuilding this will all the OEM components. I have OEM bearings, races, and crank for it. If somebody wants to tackle it themselves, I would sell it as-is with the gasket kit for $900 plus shipping. Shipping would probably run between 100-150 pirate shipped for powerhead and bar.
