I got this in a trade from a Bureau of Land Management fuels crew logger who had crushed the tank/handle under a log. He now runs a 288 high top.
He had it "professionally" ported by a motorcycle mechanic. From what I can tell, he just cleaned up/polished the lower transfer ramps and widened the intake and exhaust. Everything looked clean as far as I can tell, and it runs very well.
I installed: Used OEM tank/handle from Randy, aftermarket 3/4 wrap, aftermarket west coast clutch cover, Max Flow filter system, OEM intake boot, OEM fuel line, OEM impulse line, Muffler cover (OEM I think?), carburetor adjustment rubber grommet, aftermarket tank vent, brake flag pivot screw/bushing, big felling dogs, OEM throttle linkage and linkage cover
I removed the idle limiting cap, cut the baffle end out of the muffler. He had already messed with widening the exhaust hole. It isn't the prettiest hole ever, but it flows.
Saw runs and idles well. The thing starts and runs as if it has more compression than the gauge indicates... idk.
$900 plus shipping, PHO?
If you have interesting trades, let me know. (Ported 026, 2- and 3-series Husky's, 90's Stuff...)
