I sure this has been discussed many times here before but what options are truly out there for dead 056 ignitions? Some say you can use one from a TS350 but I am not sure as I have not looked. I know there are China replacements but are there any that are decent? Yes guys sell used ones on eBay but those are unproven.

I have at least one 350 or 360. I am assuming they are scored so I will have to look. If so then that might be my best bet

I can fix it for you. Or you can repair it yourself.

I have an 056 repaired this way and 3 more Dolmars that were repaired this way. They are more reliable than they ever were.

Bill, if your saw will start and run until it heats up , then quits. This is the repair for you. If you got no spark at all, that is a different story.

Need to know if it is sem like jj said or Bosch like Jim is talking about. To go on what Jim said with the capacitor if it is a after it gets hot situation that method will definitely fix it and from my experience it will even fix some without spark at all

I have a 56 Mag with no spark and probably a few non mags the same way. Years ago my son's boss sent a 56 with him for me to fix. It had intermittent spark. I fiddled with it a bit and just sent it back to him. I could just see it turning into a can of worms.

I would tear into it and see what kind of ignition and go from there the kill switch wires broke down and shorted out over time too
