I’d say the mag falls between a 044 and 046. It can pull as almost as hard as my MS460 but is heavier.Well I’ve never ran the mag version, will it run with a 044?
You got itSo your saying an 038 mag has more torque than an 044. So better with a big bar in large wood but won’t win the race with a 20”.
Added a wrap handle, clutch cover and dogs. The saw is in nice shape. The tank and air filter cover is an aftermarket. I have a 28” and a 24” I will sell it with or without a bar. View attachment 118517View attachment 118518View attachment 118519View attachment 118520

Does anyone know if they make those wide clutch covers aftermarket? I'm not up on Stihl parts
You're a good guy, JJ. I don't care how much enjoyment you get out of a nice jar of orange marmalade

Send the 360 my way!Well all I know is my uncle likes the 038 farm boss. He told my dad that kid of yours finally got me running a stihl. He used to be a homelite dealer back in the early 80’s. His last firewood saw was a 360 pro and the one before that an xl-12. The 360 needs a boot and few other things but might never be fixed how that he has the 038.
