SOLD Stihl 034

Really clean West German built 034 with what I believe is the original 20" .325" bar (dated 1986) . Looks to be a very low hour saw, piston looks like new, rings look to be barely broken in.

Picked it up locally. Installed a new OEM Stihl fuel line and filter, installed a tillotson kit in the tilly 43b carb., installed new OEM Stihl clutch springs, new ngk plug and put a new chain on it.

Opened up the baffle in the muffler just enough to let it breath and added a wider weave screen.

Ran 2 tanks of fuel through it and it runs and oils as it should.

It's a super nice example that I hate to let go, but I've got too many saws... any additional questions or photos needed just ask.

Few more pics. Cold compression is a hair over 170. Added (2) 1/2" holes to both of the muffler baffles and added a wider weave screen. I did not touch the outlet of the muffler it's pretty good size from the factory.

Thats back when saws where made to last, not like the chinesium stihls today. Beautiful saw, wish I could buy it, wife would kill me if I bought more "toys" as she calls them.

Is it side adjust? Or just a side adjust cover on a front adjust case?

Usually all the 034 AV’s were front adjust.

Look at the clutch cover deets.

The late 034 standards did come side adjust. Every Super ive seen has been side as well.

This one is indeed side adjust. I'll grab a picture of the serial number after work and maybe someone could shed some light as to a build date etc.
