Are you looking for just a regular 024 cylinder Tom, or the super?

A regular J. Its got a Super cylinder on it now, owner scored the piston, and its on an 024 frame. Going to keep the cylinder and replace it with a regular 024 .

But if I remember correctly they are different strokes, right? Will I have to go with an 026 cylinder?

The regular 024 and Super have different cranks yes, so you can't just put a regular top end on a chassis that has the Super crank.

You'll either need to stick with the Super cylinder or go with an 026 cylinder.

But if I go with the 026 cylinder, will I have to switch out plastics, air filter and cover?

Not necessarily, like Dr. Al @drf256 pointed out, you can file/grind down the rear two cooling fins on top of the 026 cylinder so it'll fit under the 024 covers.

Yeah, but its a super that was under an 024 AV cover. An 024 cylinder wouldnt be good. I got the feeling whoever had it before rebuilt an 024 to an 024S. It has the front tensioner. I'm probably just going to rebuild it.

Can you fit a different piston to your jug and saw?
