Years ago when I got into chainsaws I wondered why I saw so many of them for sale cheap needing some work. Then I bought one and found out what demon spawn they were!

Oh I think they are easy too. Easy to throw in the lake and use as a boat anchor!

sounds like a stihl 039 i had, used it for a anchor on a fishing boat and after i tossed it over the side it sunk the boat

I had an 039 and it's little brother 029. I couldn't pay my guys enough to use either one of them! They were always fighting over my 044.

One thing I will say about the mini mac at least they weren't held together by flat head screws like the stihl 015 was. But *f-word that *f-wording hose behind the oil/gas tank!

Well, not a lot of love here for the little ole 009. I had one for several years and was pretty happy with it. It's not a top handle saw but it's not a rear handle saw either. Strange set up really but works really good doing construction or other uses where a small but fairly powerful saw is needed. I sold the one I had and not really interested in owning another one but there's a lot worse saws out there. They're about $100 to $125 around here depending...
