I know the bars are most likely chinese built but thought i would ask if anyone used one before? I bought 16'' 60dl 3/8 0.50 gauge bar for my 041 its is laminated type with a greaseable sprocket tip it looks well made.

I once had a solid RSN bar on a 346XP and thought it was pretty good for the money.

I picked up a 24". Had it on my dolmar at Custer's gtg. Not a lot of time on it, but it seems OK for the price

Out of curiosity how many leaves of cabbage did you have to shell out for it?

I just looked it up they are 18.00 for that 16" bar, did you buy direct from stens? My dad and I have been gold from them for several years shipping kills small purchases tho.

Well good on helping a local guy out. The price you paid is just about the suggested retail on that bar from what stens says to sell it for. They are ok bars I got a few and they work well but I do not cut alot. Enjoy it and I'm curious of the chain. Stens says it's comparable to Oregon so maybe I'll try it some day.

Oregon is too soft? That's been said before, and it always makes me wonder how Oregon sells so much chain, if it were true? Run any brand of full chisel in dirty wood, and it'll all turn into a chain of butter knives.

Old Stock Windsor is excellent, bars or chain.

When it comes to filing I can feel a difference in Oregon, from a Stihl chain.

I do feel like Oregon can be made a hair sharper but either way I have been running Stihl and Oregon chain lately, whatever loop is cheaper or depends if I am buying semi skip or not.

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

Oregon is softer than carlton or stihl I run all of carlton Is my favorite stihl is just too hard to me. I have mostly oregon right now it's good stuff but doesn't hold an edge as long as the others. I've used silver streak it seemed similar to oregon on a short bar saw. It's all up to what you like all goes dull sometimes I prefer the oregon in real dirty conditions for the fact it is relatively easy to file vs the others

I'd give 18 for one in a heart beat.

Shipping is about 10.00 so you need a big order to make it worth it.
